Google purchased Feedburner just a few days back for a healthier amount and paid 10 times more price of the original price as Google knows how to play with its stuff, Feedburner was the most famous feed burning company that had millions of blogs attached to its network and after acquired by Google, the company started working under Google.
Youtube was yet another company that got Google’s attention after it saw the potential of the company to go high miles, it acquired Youtube for god knows when and how much but it turned out to be one of the best decision it made since Youtube was a massive hit in the people and became the top 10 most visited website in about half a year or so.
Orkut that initially started off as a Social Networking project assigned to a Turkish Student who managed to code it such a way that caught the attention of Google’s eye and it made no delay in acquiring it. Orkut is one of the business of the Google empire for over 3 years but hasn’t yet managed to to get out of the beta phases,Google has been continuously improving this social networking website Orkut. Orkut that gained worlwide fame and is in the Alexa top 10 chart for over a year now is the most famous social networking website in Pakistan, till 2006 Pakistan was the second most user of Orkut after Brazil, but as soon as it gained more and more fame and spread all over the world, this position got taken away by India and then UK etcetera.
Anyways, yet another cool feature into Orkut after the options to have Youtube uploaded videos embedded into profile is that now users can add there RSS feeds of blog to there profile. Cool haan? Google using three of the companies at the same time in one go and guess what, they’re going to get very much out of it, since all are well established and the more the features are introduced, the more the business Google is going to make.
What’s the future of internet btw? is it sooner or later going to be Google net?
