Worms and Viruses Solution

Posted by Khushal Khan on April 13th, 2006 in News, Web

From the past few months i have been hearing alot about viruses that would eat up all the memory and speed of a computer system, gobble up all your internet bandwidth and thus not allowing you to do web surfing, but when it came into my own system it made me weep really,it was not one type of virus, it was something like Brontok.a or a Brontok.c often with numbers at there end and there was no solution to wipe out those viruses completely from the computer. The damages it would cause to a computer varied from system to system,my buddies would say Folder Options are invisible, some would say there Flash Drives have sub folders of the same name as they had of the main folder, and that subfolder infact was a .exe file to trick people and anyone clicking it or running it would have his computer infected, there are hundereds of other damages it causes but i mentioned a few of them.
The last thing was the solution for this problem, which in my research was not fruitful, I tried Kaspersky AntiVirus, Norton, McAfee , G Remover and AVG as some would say but none of them even had the power to detect a virus or worm on this earth called Brontok.a, finally my brother suggested me to use the AntiVir which is a small antivirus that works effectively and doesnt eats up all your memory, it detects the brontok at the first attempt and cleans it. I suggest you all to use it if you have the same problem of worms and viruses, plus the update of this antivirus program is also as little as 1 mb as compared to 12-16 mb of Norton’s updates. So its time to think differently and start using other programs rather than trusting the old ones with conviction.
It can be downloaded from Download.com as well as its own website www.free-av.com/

AntiVir is a good antivirus but its not very effective against some viruses. And you dont get a regestration crack for it too.Becouse it si not very much recognised. I believe that Nortron 2004 or Macfee Anti virus is the best if and only if you have a powerful system...

dexter: your reply shows an innate lack of understanding of the way virus coders work. using the MOST POPULAR virus scanners is a good way to still get infected, i mean it's not difficult to actually look in memory and see they're running. lots of the newer crap actually infects and disables popular scanners as a first step.

so using what everyone uses is about as useful as following lemmings into the ocean.

Em u r right but the most important thing to realise is that is the antivirus effective in removing the virus it detects? Now AntiVIRE is good at detecting but still it does not gives you that much satisfaction as compared to Nortron and this I am telling from my personal use...ANTIVIRE was good but in the end i had regestration problems and it got slower...
