These days the clothes are more stylish than the product itself~
Posted by Khushal Khan on January 8th, 2008
I know some of you might think am gone a bit mad enough but these days, the covering is more appealing than the product itself. You definitely tend to be more and more attracted to a product because of the stylish and exclusive packaging they have specially when it comes to electronic devices, and than when you have pouches for phones that are more stylish than the phone itself, the cd inserts are more stylish than the cd’s collection you have, and than there are casings for cigarettes, laptops and cameras… just a few of them go like …

Women in Information Technology~
Posted by Khushal Khan on December 1st, 2007
Man is born in the garb of a child, passes through the pinnacle of his youths and at last fades away into the darkness of his grave”, whoever said was wise enough to mention Man neglecting the service done for humanity by Man, although Women have played an equal role somehow in the service to mankind but Information Technology is one field where women are far behind. I am not by any means being Male biased but these are the facts what history has for us. Coming back to IT, specifically our country, in Pakistan though woman is as good as from any other developed country but there role in the enhancement of IT is minimum, where in the developed countries a woman is head of the Information Technology department our woman is limited to being assistant or secretary to the head of IT department, where women in Europe write computer applications to provide an ease in work, our women are the users of those very applications, where a female writes and teaches computer games designing (e.g http://www.gamedesignprograms.com/ )in the schools at europe, our women are the one’s who only play those games, where girls abroad have a keen interest in the Information Technology our woman is limited to the Medical profession only. The reason is not that our women are not equally educated but the fact is the culture, the environment and the society our women are brought up in, since most parents want to see there daughter either as a Doctor or a Lawyer or anything but not a Techy Girl. Though the scope of IT and Technological studies is way beyond anyone’s imagination but why this likeness for the afro mentioned professions only? It is because either the parents are not technologically literate or they fear the future seeing other IT students having wasted there time studying IT. Most women who studied IT see there studies go wasted because none of them could come up with an innovation in IT, no one planned to practically put there skills, they are either looking for a job or switch to other fields but none of them ever planned to form an organization of there own, be a female IT Entrepreneur, none of them. The truth is when you study IT, you just get to the know-how of IT, the practical learning comes when you plan to continue to this field and be well informed about the latest developments and innovations and using them can you only go on with your own skills and “Be the Change”.
Did you ever thought why would a woman always need assistance to install a mere Windows to a computer, set up an electronic device, or use the enhanced features of a cell phone? Someone said Women are Technologically ill, I disagree, the reason behind this is that they are not much interested in technology, the portion of thinking and brain that they could utilize in finding solution to the above problems, they have it reserved for Studies weather learning by heart the codes of a computer program without thinking how could they use the program practically in there daily life.
Some of you will not believe but there are women who were the backbone to the algorithm on which Google the best search engine runs, there are women who are full time web designers and developers and paid highly for there services, women with programming skills who write complex applications and programs for web which we use, women who are responsible for the entire animations and motioning of the TV commercials for the top brands like Coca Cola, women with although not much skills but good knowledge write articles for the best IT magazines and the future developments are the aftermath of their suggestions in those articles and not to forget but some women are the CEOs of the most respectable IT Companies. Where these are some good facts for women the bitter fact is not one amongst them is an example we can see from our country.
Its just about the time we should have a change, our country is badly in need of strong brains that women here are wasting and that could be utilized to revolutionize the IT industry in Pakistan as well as leading to a safe future, where the future is IT there is always a need of a balance contribution from Women as well, only than can Pakistan appear on the world map as an IT giant.
Some LAW ammendments that we need!
Posted by Khushal Khan on June 28th, 2007
Speaking of Law here in the country is like talking about a movie, you get emotional for some time and than the other very moment you are the one breaking the law. This has been the problem ever since our beloved country got independence in the 1947, people not obeying the law, no rules and regulations and even if there are some they are not followed. Anyways, how ever its a rough 60 years since we are independent but our Law department is the same as was 60-70 years back, you have lawyers either to deal murder cases, stealth ,robbery and corruption and similar cases, very less often will you find lawyers or agency working out the matters of railroad accident (s).
This came to my mind all the way as i see daily there are hundreds of accidents on the rail and road ways , people die and mostly the culprits skip away and if they don’t than they are either rich enough to shut the mouth of those who suffered. In our country there should be a separate department in the Law for dealing such cases that should support those who suffered, help them in the medication of there loved ones who got injured and than file cases against those responsible, even the Non Government Organizations can play a vital role in this regard.
Photography competition!
Posted by Khushal Khan on May 8th, 2007
3 days ago we had a photography competition in our institute, although i did not participated in the competition because photography is not my area of interest but one of my friends Fahad Rehman did participated in the competition and grabbed 2nd position, although his photographs were very cool but he arrived late at the display hall and did not make a Video presentation so the Judges deducted marks from him. The winner was a group called eXer and there work was very fascinating as well, nearly all the participants displayed some great photographs as if they were trained from some photography schools. The main theme of the competition was Child labor which was brilliantly presented by the participants.
Photography i must say is an art, and requires less of an equipment and more of an aesthetic sense, once you get to develop this sense in your self, you will be no longer needing any school to master your skills in, on the other hand photography schools are really helpful where you get a chance to see the in depth of the photography world and discover some facts that are not known to normal people.
I was planning to post some of the pictures here but since my buddy’s room is all locked and i can’t access his computer via the network so i will post them to my blog today when he arrives and off course only if they are not very high resolution and big in size.
Egypt: Developed and Modern???
Posted by Khushal Khan on May 2nd, 2007
If we take a look at the development and modernization of Egypt we see tourism is one of its most important factor involved, its becoming a hub of international tourists that keep on pouring to Giza for the Pyramids, watching the preserved mummy’s,bargain holidays to Sharm, and off course to watch the entire ancient civilization that Egypt does and should boast about, plus its one of the most developed Islamic country both economically and in terms of overall development.
I personally would love to go to Egypt and Turkey off course not just to see the beauty of the country that tourists wont stop to speak off but also to see an insight of whats really happening there that the westerners call development.
On the other hand what i’ve heard of many people who have seen Egyptians and Turks as well is that they are very much obsessed with the West, not only is that they are adapting there strategies to be developed but they are also adapting there culture, traditions and customs etc… If this is what the westerners call development, i must say its not, or shall i leave it to you, is Egypt really developed and modern?
Drug abuse and treatment
Posted by Khushal Khan on April 24th, 2007
Although we see a rapid change in the policy’s different country’s are adapting for the drug rehabilitation and prevention, we still see many people on the other hand falling its prey one way or the other. There could be many reasons behind this and for 3rd world and remote countries the main reasons behind the drugs addiction is
- Poverty
- Un-employment
- Lack of Justice
Once these elements from the society are rooted out, possible measures can be taken to eliminate the drug addiction through drug abuse treatment, for the purpose of which several drug and alcohol treatments centers are established in different countries. These centers have somehow managed to minimize the effect but on a larger scale there are very less people in the world who have access to these centers and hence they are not enjoying their benefits, Lets hope this world becomes a good place to live and free from all the evils of society such as drug abuse.
Get your favorite magazines in yearly subscription for cheap
Posted by Khushal Khan on April 24th, 2007
Though some of you or most of you am sure are addicted to reading Magazines but couldn’t get time to have all the subscriptions every month and thus miss out many important things. For instance I personally love the Spider magazine a lot as it’s an IT related magazine with plenty of healthy and latest information about the world wide web from all over the world and I really love to be knowledgeable in this field but time mismanagement and hectic schedules don’t quite let us carry on with this habit of reading and learning.
Recently I heard that some of the most famous magazines of many categories are available online in yearly subscriptions at very cheap and economical rates, off course when you are doing a commitment for a year or so you got to pay a bit less, and on the other hand they’ll be send out to your mailing address without you having to bother to go to the nearest store and buy them, so it’s a good idea to subscribe and carry on with the good habit of learning.
Getting to learn more than one language
Posted by Khushal Khan on April 20th, 2007
Nearly everyone wants to be more proficient and have command in more than one or two languages apart from their mother tongue, for me I have command over English and Urdu language as well as I can speak Pashto and Punjabi (a bit with a touch of Hind), the last 2 languages are what I cant write but read a bit. I would love to be able to communicate in French and German as well as I’ve heard they’re very sweet languages, for these you definitely need some trainers and I’ve found one i.e. Language Lessons UK and am sure I’ll be studying my courses with them when I go for MBA to UK.
Not only do they offer language courses but they train the trainers as well through a series of need analysis, level tests and evaluation tests, also offering jobs to good trainers of trainers. Apart from UK they are also well established in the USA, so for those living in the USA having language lessons is no more a tough job.
12 rules of fat burning
Posted by Khushal Khan on April 18th, 2007
No question about it, burning fat is a 24/7 endeavor. To keep the fires hot, you need to eat every 2-3 hours throughout the day. Not only that, but you must choose the right food in the right amount to keep your metabolism revved up so your six pack will be ready for its close up. The way we see it, there are 12 fundamental–laws, if you will – that are all you need to shed that unwanted blubber from your midsection and elsewhere. Most of them are nutrition – driven, but training comes into play as well. Your mass gaining phase is over for the time being, not it is time to get lean. These 12 laws of fat – burning will help you get there
1 you must eat fewer calories than you need
2 keep you carbohydrate intake in check
3 eat more protein
4 never eat carbs by themselves
5 never eat carbs before bed
6 use nitric oxide at night
7 eat more meal per day
8 prioritize the post – training meal
9 avoid fast carbs pre workout
10 empty your glycogen store once every week
11 train until your are beat, not dead
12 do cardio at the right time
However, sometime it takes more than these 12 rules to loss enough fat. Fat burn like Lipo 6x or other can help you loss more fat in shorter time. But remember, fat burner is just an aid but not solution. You need to diet and exercise to get any diet pill to work for you!
Planning to be a shareholder at SogoInvest
Posted by Khushal Khan on April 18th, 2007
Ever since I had some international currency in my account and the money though not a large sum but good enough for a 20 year old to play with, I decided to invest it rather than gobbling it all at once in luxuries of life, this time I was interested in something like purchasing stocks and shares and I thought why not go for international one’s rather than local ones, I asked a friend who had been helping his customers buy and sell shares at best profitable time within the country, but anyhow he just gave me a link to a website for help and I landed onto Sogoinvest.
SogoInvest.com is an online brokerage that allows investors of any kind, beginners like me or experts, to buy and sell stocks in real-time for as low as $3 or less, now that was interesting as the prices were too low, before I planned to go for it i thought why Sogoinvest only and not any other similar company but I soon found out they were very highly reputable, low in costs as compared to competitors, safe in all the ways like financial safety as well as personal information safety and the best of all easy, all one needed was to create an account within a matter of few minutes and some clicks.
Now why would I not go for a company offering sophisticated stock trading tools like there search engine scanning software, free to customers with funded accounts, as well as some of the lowest commissions in the industry as well as an automated investment plan that would do investment automatically daily, weekly and monthly.
I personally plan to go for it after seeing the fair pricing, but right now am madly waiting for my funds to arrive from paypal to my account in MCB bank, but I plan to have an account in UBL Bank as well which I think is the only bank in Pakistan that offers easy international trading. Wish me best of luck in this business.
