A Mighty Heart: Movie or a “Message” to Pakistan?
Posted by Khushal Khan on January 13th, 2008
I don’t know why i even wanted to review this particular movie, though it was not upto the mark in my opinion if it comes to story or direction but well patriot that i am i really wanted to mention it, just a glimpse of what the western media wanted to convey to Pakistan.

“A Mighty Heart” is a Hollywood film based on a true story about the tragic incident of an American born Jewish journalist Daniel Pearl who was kidnapped from Karachi and than later murdered. Its cast includes Angelina Jolie as Marriane Pearl and ( not to forget a portion of role from Adnan Siddiqui and Sajid Hassan (the two top actors in the Pakistan Tele Media)).The movie is taken from Marriane Pearl’s own book with the same name that she later penned down after the murder of her husband which is than filmed into the afro mentioned Movie.
The movie as i saw it was all about plenty of questions that lead to Daniel Pearl’s murder, the journalist is shown as a decent man who went far from his job to interview an Islamic Fundamentalist Sheikh Gillani that in the end turned out to be a plot designed by Ahmed Omer Sheikh (the guy who was released from an Indian jail after a hostage swap between the indian government for the hundreds of hostages in a hijacked plane way back in year 2000) who is later captured and commits the fact that his fellows killed him just because he was a Jew, and that American’s are not treating the prisoner’s at Guantanamo Bay humanly. An evidence video tape than later confirms the death of Daniel Pearl.
What i took from the movie was that it was not just a movie but a message to Pakistan about how evil our society is, how weird our thinking is specially when the Indian Journalist is termed as an Indian Spy and Daniel as the agent of Moosad in the movie. They also kept on doing sarcasm over the way the intelligence agencies in Pakistan carry out the proceedings of an investigation neglecting the fact that they tried there level best and finally reached the criminals but after the journalist was murdered. Only the ending of the movie and a few words from Angelina Jolie (Marriane Pearl) made my day when she said something in an interview with the CNN not blaming the country or a race or a portion of people from some religion to be behind her husbands death but an International and Un-Human groups of people responsible while she leaves the country as a widow to continue with her remaining life.
I don’t have much problem with the movie, but respect is what they missed which should have been there. Not much more to say.!!! Won’t recommend the movie even!
Elections 2008: a possible boycott~
Posted by Khushal Khan on December 17th, 2007
We have a good number of voters within our family and my uncles and aunts and there families make up quite a decent number of voters that live in the same area with no other people around us. Out of all the individuals my father is considered the senior most in family. My father has decided not to vote a single candidate this time and also asked us to do so if we want to, the reason am not sure but he say’s no one is worth it. All are fed up of the dirty people popping up everytime, filling there pockets and than getting off the seat with a dirty conscience, ! I might end up not voting as well, though a close friend’s dad is a healthy candidate in our area and i am eligible to vote but well am not sure in either case.We need to be educated with our political thinking, what looks good for one is bad at times for the others that causes a big shift in change of mind, but well politics is dirty. Good teachers can make it clear to us how a true and clean political thinking can be adapted, we have great universities in Pakistan for the engineering , medical and management sciences and all we need are good political background teachers from these places, if no hire them from abroad, or some online teacher certification programs where many good Pakistani PhD’s are listed who have no biasness towards any political party for no reason. Hey what the…..??? What am i saying, teachers yes, but even teachers are not trusty:( when i can’t guarantee myself, i might end up voting for my friend’s dad just cos he’s the father of my friend, well forgetting the fact Politics is so bad and so so bad are the Politicians~
EDUCATE YOURSELF, and also others if Possible~
ARY ONE Transmission restored, What’s for GEO?
Posted by Khushal Khan on November 24th, 2007
In the latest scenario the ARY ONE transmission that was all handled from Dubai and shut down as the after shock of the EMERGENCY, has been restored after “ARY ONE” signed a DEAL with the General Government of Pakistan. This was going to happen sooner or later and i expect the same thing to happen with GEO TV as well since i don’t see any point in why GEO TV won’t make a deal with the GOVERNMENT, but maybe GEO was a big fish and banned due to there exaggerating reports against the government “i.e speaking the truth and crude reality” so it is still banned till yet.
From all i heard the last few days is that GEO is setting up its system in the four countries namely Australia,Thailand, Indonesia, etc so that the Pakistan’s Government could not influence on them and there transmissions be shown via satellite to a potential market that GEO captured when it started depicting the real face of the Government of Pakistan. GEO has filed a case against the government or not? this might be a question but i think what GEO needs to do is hire some American Law firms to which the government of Pakistan and there policy against GEO will never stand a chance, try >> www.americanlawyerreferral.com
Last but not the least, one thing i can guarantee people about the remaining hot hit channels like AAJ TV and ARY ONE is that whatever the case maybe now, they will never be against the Government, though within there hearts and souls the story might be different but on the TV and transmission there will always be “Musharraf Zindabad” and “Chaudhry Sahab ka Khwad, Parha Likha Punjab”
Musharraf Vs Nawaz (2 - 0)
Posted by Khushal Khan on September 10th, 2007
Musharraf has scored a goal again, second time, though too late but he did. I am really surprised at what is going to happen in a country where a Un-elected Self Proclaimed Army General, Chief of Army and a President of a country (all in one) can do every thing on the face of the earth.

I just heard the news that Nawaz Sharif who was formerly deported to Saudi Arabia back in 1999 by the same ruler today and who was set to come back to Pakistan after being cleared by the Supreme Court to enter Pakistan without any allegations against him has be RE-DEPORTED back to Saudi Arabia after he landed in Pakistan today early morning from a Flight from London to Islamabad.
Officially he was allowed to enter the VIP lounge and also got the documents stamped but was trickly grabbed by the Mush agencies for being involved in corruption and several other charges based on which they demanded his arrest to which he agreed but before he could realize what was to happen next, he was taken through a helicopter to a ready waiting chartered aircraft and sent back to Saudi Arabia.
I am not saying that Mian Nawaz Sharif was a complete honest man, i have political opinions that depend on situation but what i think is that its not a concern whether Nawaz Sharif was a corrupt leader or not but what Musharraf done to save his ass for the fore coming elections (Which i highly doubt will be held) is truly condemning. This is not the way how politics is done or in fact this is the way its done in Pakistan. Though the news are still to come but i thought where does the future of Pakistan lies when the 3 in one Musharraf has become the GawD?
Update: A fellow Blogger MB seems to have mis interpreted my post thinking i was comparing Mushy with Nawaz but the way i posted it is not a comparison with a Man with Gun and a Man with none but these are the *shits* of Politics and those with the best cards win. I am not favoring Musharraf or Nawaz but just posted an update in the Politicosphere of Pakistan:) Peace~
Happy 60th Independence Day to Pakistan!
Posted by Khushal Khan on August 15th, 2007
I am late i know but i had a few reasons other than being too lazy, I want to wish Pakistan a very Happy 60th Independence Day, May this Country lives for ever and we serve it better than what we are at the moment. Lets put a new resolution this year that we’ll try our best to serve our beloved country in the best way possible and bring fame to it. Although we are being ruled by a group of idiots who are more than spoiling the name of this country rather than making it popular but lets just consider it as a test from Allah S.W.T and lets pray that may Allah S.W.T either gives Hidayat to our leaders or give us leaders that truly lead and get along with the system of the country making it one of the best nations on the face of the earth. On a side note, although some people love to celebrate the Independence Day with a truly patriotic soul but some get out of limits and make the celebration more a pain. Lets hope things go all well this year.Pakistan Zindabad and I love my Pakistan!~ (However it is)
General Hazar Banday Maar Kar Umray Ko Chala!
Posted by Khushal Khan on July 28th, 2007
I was just flipping through the channels a while ago when i heard the news of General Pervez’s “Personal Deal” visit to Abu Dhabi to meet Muhtarma (Future Prime Minister of Pakistan), this was all ok since its not the first ever time the Military ruined the ruling party’s a$$ and went on a deal with HOT people but just to continue the laugh at my government and its act i went on hearing the news but when i heard the news of Musharraf’s visit to Mecca for Umrah Shareef after the “Deal” meeting i couldn’t stop laughing! There were 3 people in the room while i was watching the news and all of them said “Billi So Choohay Maar Kar Hajj ko Chalee” (Cat went to Pilgrimage after slaying 100 mice to death).
I was like *sigh* and wished i had been as much as lucky as the General is who was well received by the Minister of Mecca and am sure that while he is on Umrah , the gates of Haram Shareef will be opened for him since we all know he is very “close to Saudi Arabian Government” (not sure about ALLAH though). Yes, he is a lucky man since not many people in this world get a chance to see the inside of Haram Shareef. He must have offered 2 Rakaats of Nawafil in Riaz-ul-Jannah to ensure his entry into the Jannah.
I am not sure what will be in the mind of General while he is doing all these, God Forbid no one knows who is more close to Allah SWT but apparently what he has done so far is enough to prove his real face, but there is one thing i am more than sure and that is that with such a CLEAN conscience , the faces of the poor people killed in Lal Masjid, many others that are missing due to his personal matters …. they, they will not let him sleep and no matter how many Umrahs and how many Hajjs he offers , he will not be able to pay back the price. This is just like in the Hindu culture if you commit sins you than go get a bath in Ganges River and you come out as a clean man as if you did nothing wrong!
I know its evil to review someone’s faith the way i did and as i mentioned earlier only Allah SWT knows who is right and who is wrong, but i have spoken from my heart and from what i see i’ve compiled this post. May ALLAH SWT showers his blessings upon us and teaches the right path to us and our rulers! AMEEN!
