Panesar the Punisher!!!
Posted by Khushal Khan on July 30th, 2006

Monty Panesar - The Punisher as i call him now and Stephen Harmisson showed a Kick ass performance as England defeated my lovely country Pakistan with an innings and a 120 runs defeat. I dont know why i am not sad? Probably Football has done it for me,I would have been more sad had ITALY lost the WC Final! Anyways i thought to talk about Cricket because none of my other fellow bloggers took pain to do so.Pakistan lost:(

A car that looks like a Fish!
Posted by Khushal Khan on July 24th, 2006

I just saw this strangest car designed on the surface of the earth here.It looks like a fish and has all the features of a car of Today,at first i thought how would the shape of the car stand the wind coming from the front but as i read further its awesomely designed and aerodynamic and fuel-efficient.Just have a look at it,i think it looks really cute:) but on roads in Pakistan, a car like this is likely to disobey all the laws of Physics and loose its fuel-efficiency.LOL
The best animated English Movie!
Posted by Khushal Khan on July 23rd, 2006
I just saw the trailer of what i call is the best english animated movie “A Scanner Darkly”,the trailer was awesome and the animations were so real that it fooled me around and put me into suspision wether they are real images or the animations,it appears that the movie was first filmed through traditional means with a simple camera and then converted into animations, but very expertly. The movie is the filmed version of the book by Philip K.Dick “A Scanner Darkly”
The movie is all about the drugs and underworld mafia with the cast including the legend Keanu Reeves, the “Neo” from “The Matrix”.
On the Box Office its recorded so far as a major hit and on the number 10th.The rank is expected to rise as the story itself is amazing.Enjoy the movie and tell me how it was so that i purchase my copy soon. Below is the link of the trailer of the movie for people who are interested in watching the movie.
3rd Jazz IM Awards!
Posted by Khushal Khan on July 23rd, 2006
The much awaited third JAZZ Indus Music awards were aired this evening on the Indus Music channel today.Although i heard about the results previously but i was anxiously waiting for these awards as i was expecting to see the LIVE performance from one of my favourite English Based band Sajid and Zeeshan, the show started off with a dance by some unknown person who danced madly yet awesomely at the Black Eyed Peas hit number, it all went well and then the host of the show Fasi Zaka appeared on the stage with a suit on his body and believe me he was looking cool, infact there was nothing much in the show to be appreciated but the comparing of Fasi Zaka that included sarcastic exchange of words by Fasi with Ali Zafar and Ali Azmat, his comparing was awesome and all the crowd enjoyed it.
Sajid and Zeeshan who happened to be my favourite and i was madly waiting at there live performance but when it started i was surprised to see Sajid without a guitar and Zeeshan sitting on a chair with his Keyboard and a bunch of other instruments playing very well,to be true i really didnt enjoyed the performance by Sajid but as we knew before it was all the fault of the organisers who did not arranged for a microphone stand and made Sajid sing holding the microphone in his hand, plus the sound system was not properly installed and therefore the voice was not much clear and touchy, however the performance of Sajid and specially Zeeshan on his keyboard was very well appreciated by the crowd as they sang the famous number of there {soon to be released} album “King of Self” , Annie the girl behind one of the most hit songs of the past year sang her song “Maahiya” with a remixed version which was not as good as i think, the appearance of Begum Nawazish Ali {God knows about his/her gender} created a good environment whe she/he started her jokes the way she/he do it.
There were other performances by other bands and people such as the band call, Ibrar-ul-haq,etc,and the last but not the least the Bombay Rockers whose performance was one of the best in the show in my opinion, they made all the crowd and audience simply “Rock the Party” with ther famous hit song “Teri to”.A couple of Fashion Shows type of performances did cheer the crowd because it was the first time i saw Pakistani models doing weird things;),the show was also colorful yet oldy with the presence of many renowned artist of there times such as Sahira Kazmi,Mareena Khan,Nayyara Noor and Shoaib Hashmi. The awards were given in some 19 Music related categories, overall i give 5/10 rating to these awards as there were some unjustful decisions and the overall arrangement was not that good.

WAPDA and electricity?
Posted by Khushal Khan on July 19th, 2006
I have made one thing clear,i will be a terrosrist sooner or later, and the reason none other than WAPDA shutting down the electricity supply in my area without any legal notice or a fixed time table, and the most weird thing is that whenever i start to blog about, the electricity will ruin my posts and the posts i have been thinking and writing for 10-15 mintues will al go into the virtual world where no one can neither see them, comment on them!!! The other thing being i fear my only assett in my home My Personal Computer in danger as the uncertain shutdowns of electricity is a big danger for its health,if it is likely to burn someday with this shutdowns of “Bijlee” and are not repairabale, then there is no need to arrange for some Kami Kaziis,or Suicide Bombers, i myself am alone enough for the WAPDA guys to blast there WAPDA house alone;). Maybe my this act of Jihad will be fruitfull for the generations after me who wont be spending there summer lives in extreme hot weather with no Electricity!!!
Javed Chaudhry’s shift to the daily Express
Posted by Khushal Khan on July 18th, 2006
The most famous columnist who used to write for The Daily Jang has shifted to The Express Daily, though it happened at least 2 months back but this is a news for all the international readers as well as the local readers of his columns who like me would read his column online in the daily jang website, now that he has shifted to the daily Express, there is no other way to read his columns rather than to purchase the daily Express, its is not mostly available with all the hawkers and in hostels there is no way one can read it.
I personally think this is not a good step taken by Javed Ch,probably he should carry on with the Jang daily and write for the daily express as well as he might loose many of his readers, for those who missed out his columns the only way is to wait for his 3rd book launch which is expected in the coming year or so;) according to my calculation.
Best of luck Javed Chaudhry,i am still your fan!
