Star World’s never ending series!
Posted by Khushal Khan on April 28th, 2007
In the leisure time in hostels when the internet availibilty is a question and i feel hungry, although i know i am not going to get anything to eat from the Kitchen on the roof but i always end up not entering the Kitchen and start watching TV, that time most of our hostel guys are asleep in deep and i grab the control in my hand and tune into Star World and start watching series like Seinfeld(the boldy and the nutty;) ), Scrubs ( the guys wearing nursing uniforms ), FRIENDS (all rotten people) and also the Winfrey Oprah Show, since its very late at night they all come in and go in a queue so its really fun watching e’m.
I just came to know that i’ve been watching some of these series for quite some time, specially Seinfeld started in 1990’s (phew) and non-stop since than… i think these Star World series will never end, lolz….
Motorbike passion:(
Posted by Khushal Khan on April 27th, 2007
I always wished to buy a motorbike, since we had a car at home and looking at it again and again since childhood eliminated the desire to have a car, on the other hand motorcycle was something really worth interest for me, i use to see people in my colonies driving them here and having fun, i was like madly in love with them but my father never let me had one, he always insisted that motorbike is nothing but a death game since all the teens of the time if given a motorbike are bound to be doing stunts and wheeling on them thus putting there life at risk. Now that i have grown up and am a university student i can purchase one easily through motorcycle financing myself (without my dad knowing it as i live in hostel) but now the passion and love that i had for this machine is dead.
I really dont want to own a motorbike, infact having a Heavybike with a 1200CC engine is a wish
but despite my teenage love for motorbikes i dont want one now, maybe i have grown to my maturity stage or is it maybe that i fear driving it, nah i swear i know how to drive atleast a CD 70, thanks to one of my friends Shahbaz:) but why no more….I dont know!!!
The true gaming!
Posted by Khushal Khan on April 27th, 2007
I’ve always been restricted to LAN gaming playing Counter Strike 1.6 with friends in the Hostel but i never knew that games like these could be played in real life using real like weapons, so far there are two competitors in this market for manufacture of these guns and ammo for such type of games know as Airsoft and Paintball, what experts say is that airsoft is better than paintball because airsoft is comparitively a less dangerous game as compared to a bit dangerous game of Paintball specially when extreme gamers take the game seriously.
Although this hobby is still a hobby in the westerneers and not very prominent in the third world countries but regardless of where you live or reside,it is essential to take proper safety precautions when using these guns. Once you are on the safe side of it, believe me its not just real gaming, its one hell of an experience and an extreme addiction.
The new Apple iPhone
Posted by Khushal Khan on April 25th, 2007
Lately we’ve been hearing a lot about this best design and feature phone but not until its released and reviewed by a certain number of people, i don’t think its a good idea to go for the new Apple iPhone, although its not even officially launched but still people are very much concerned about it and the accessories it will require. So far the known accessory for Apple iPhone is the iPhone screen protector, as the phone uses multi-technology that requires touching the screen to navigate which is likely to cause smudges and scratches on the screen, but this accessory guarantees its protection, the other accessory is the iPhone casing that will be required to protect the iPhone as a whole.
Its due to be launched in the June of the current year and expected to meet the satisfaction level of most of the people, since people love Apple not only as a company that makes iPods but for its other products as well such as iMac , Macintosh OS etc. This is really a beatiful phone with nearly all the features of an iPod, a good camera phone and will be made to have a crystal clear screen prone to scratches.
The price is expected to be high (500$ - 600$) and its availability in Pakistan is to be somewhere around in the July but its really going to be worth a purchase. I simply love it when i see its pictures, hope it meets my budget and i go for it, if rated good in customer reviews.
I am 49% Pakistani :)

I just came to know that i am 49% Pakistani, and yes i am proud to be one;). I got a link to How Pakistani are you? Quiz from a fellow blogger’s blog while i was just surfing Orkut and found him there, i thought it would be an interesting idea to take the quiz so i took it for fun, although most questions were meaningless to me or maybe i haven’t decoded them properly but yes some questions were really interesting. Here are my results.
Not bad, but not good enough to call yourself a real Pakistani either! You seem more London than Lahore, so why not try wearing a shalwar kameez for a week and maybe that’ll bump up your rating…
How Pakistani are you? (first class number one!)

ISP’s rule *ISP Ghunda Gardee*
Posted by Khushal Khan on April 24th, 2007
From the past one month or so I was really surprised, the reason behind that was that it was unbelievable for me to see that my ISP (Internet Service Provider) was displaying its promotional Ads on websites like MSN, Yahoo etc. This was really an element of surprise for me, by that time I had forgotten that I was not able to see any AdSense ads on any websites I opened but still this thing was very new for me as I was not expecting an ISP of a small size to spend so much bucks with those massive Advertisements they were displaying. There were Ads of my ISP blinking on these websites and on the bottom of MSN messenger and many other famous websites and I was like WOW, my ISP is really getting fame and popularity. They would display different ads like promotional ads, jobs offer they had and ads of online games website they have on there root server, and the more I saw them the more I would say in my heart loudly “that is so awesome, just get some more bandwidth “.
It was until today that I found out after discussing my ISP’s heavy advertisement and promotion campaign issue with my brother’s brotherly friend Farooq that the great minds behind my ISP have blocked JavaScript and are instead serving there own ads free of cost on such famous websites, now I was like what the…??? But he said yes, since an ISP is monitoring all the websites they can modify some stuff within the websites to fit there needs, I was still surprised and then came to knew why my and other’s AdSense ads were not showing, anyways I don’t call this ethical or legal at all, its purely loss to some webmasters earning money through these advertisements, and expecting some bucks.
ISP’s are doing nothing except pure GHUNDA GARDE
Drug abuse and treatment
Posted by Khushal Khan on April 24th, 2007
Although we see a rapid change in the policy’s different country’s are adapting for the drug rehabilitation and prevention, we still see many people on the other hand falling its prey one way or the other. There could be many reasons behind this and for 3rd world and remote countries the main reasons behind the drugs addiction is
- Poverty
- Un-employment
- Lack of Justice
Once these elements from the society are rooted out, possible measures can be taken to eliminate the drug addiction through drug abuse treatment, for the purpose of which several drug and alcohol treatments centers are established in different countries. These centers have somehow managed to minimize the effect but on a larger scale there are very less people in the world who have access to these centers and hence they are not enjoying their benefits, Lets hope this world becomes a good place to live and free from all the evils of society such as drug abuse.
Get your favorite magazines in yearly subscription for cheap
Posted by Khushal Khan on April 24th, 2007
Though some of you or most of you am sure are addicted to reading Magazines but couldn’t get time to have all the subscriptions every month and thus miss out many important things. For instance I personally love the Spider magazine a lot as it’s an IT related magazine with plenty of healthy and latest information about the world wide web from all over the world and I really love to be knowledgeable in this field but time mismanagement and hectic schedules don’t quite let us carry on with this habit of reading and learning.
Recently I heard that some of the most famous magazines of many categories are available online in yearly subscriptions at very cheap and economical rates, off course when you are doing a commitment for a year or so you got to pay a bit less, and on the other hand they’ll be send out to your mailing address without you having to bother to go to the nearest store and buy them, so it’s a good idea to subscribe and carry on with the good habit of learning.
Sporty wear and its applications!
Posted by Khushal Khan on April 24th, 2007
You never knew the other applications of some sporty wears until you really see them and hear what they else can be used for, lolz. For instance while the name says it all, Wrestling Shoes are not only used in the sports of wrestling but a good option for street racing as well, some of my friends even said that they used them in the mid-teenage while riding there bicycle, and good for playing street football with those light balls and they really give a good sprint in athletics as you don’t feel like you are wearing any shoes. Pretty interesting find I must say.
What I like about these shoes is that they are extremely flexible and very light in weight, they just don’t give your legs a feeling that there’s something they have to carry, and off course shoes like these are really worth a buy. According to the big wiki it’s always a good idea to buy them from online stores where they are available in bulk and on sale prices and not comparatively for higher prices like in the sports stores located nearby. The best brand known for this is still Adidas, which is really a big fish when it comes to sporty wear, so if you ever need them just go for online shopping of these and yeah, there is a wide variety of colors and sizes to choose from.
