Late night hunger and summer vacations - Some suggestions???

Posted by Khushal Khan on June 30th, 2007

I am home for my summer vacations, and the more i get bored here with no friends around the more i enjoy being home since there is plenty to eat and any time. By anytime i mean i can have access to food at anytime of the night as well since i am an all nighter and am awake all night. The more i am thin the more i feel hungry and eat , the refrigerator is juts a 5 steps away from me and the kitchen 10 steps so all i need is a little effort to go and get something ready when the tummy starts aching and demands food. I have many options like spaghetti, macaroni, pasta, etc but you need skills too like for instance you need spaghetti recipes for getting it instant ready, so does pasta and macaroni require, however instant foods have solved this problem but the tastes are not so nourishing.

So what is to be done for someone like me who really gets hungry at night?Well what i think is that if you are not much into the chinese food go for the fast food, although they are not as fast to prepare when you are making them yourself. So grab few bread pieces and put on a chicken spread layer and eat with salad, or make French fries and eat it like a curry with bread, or make an egg burger or egg sandwich… These are probably the only few things i can make, i just need some more suggestions cos like everyone i need variety.

Some LAW ammendments that we need!

Posted by Khushal Khan on June 28th, 2007

Speaking of Law here in the country is like talking about a movie, you get emotional for some time and than the other very moment you are the one breaking the law. This has been the problem ever since our beloved country got independence in the 1947, people not obeying the law, no rules and regulations and even if there are some they are not followed. Anyways, how ever its a rough 60 years since we are independent but our Law department is the same as was 60-70 years back, you have lawyers either to deal murder cases, stealth ,robbery and corruption and similar cases, very less often will you find lawyers or agency working out the matters of railroad accident (s).

This came to my mind all the way as i see daily there are hundreds of accidents on the rail and road ways , people die and mostly the culprits skip away and if they don’t than they are either rich enough to shut the mouth of those who suffered. In our country there should be a separate department in the Law for dealing such cases that should support those who suffered, help them in the medication of there loved ones who got injured and than file cases against those responsible, even the Non Government Organizations can play a vital role in this regard.

Hardware inventory for NGO’s

Posted by Khushal Khan on June 21st, 2007

As i mentioned earlier that i am on my trip to Azad Jammu and Kashmir where communication is simply impossible because there are no telephone lines but i am using the internet from an NGO’s office known as Islamic Relief which office is located right below the resort where we are living, this is a great NGO and equipped with state of the art technology, satellite internet and hardware inventory for effective performance of there labour as well as machinery.

Keeping in mind that they are in a very remote area and any negligence in there machinery, labour, equipment and computers can lead to disasters they use all the technologies that are beneficial not only for there workers but for the ease of the workers.

I specially thank to them for letting me use internet here since there was no other mode of communication to contact my family.

Off to Hiking and Camping!

Posted by Khushal Khan on June 18th, 2007

I have been planning for this since i was in Hostel and today is the day i will be leaving with some friends from my Hostel and University for the Camping and Hiking trip. I am not really sure about the name of the place but my friends say its a a great place and about 3 hours distance away from Muzaffarabad.

I will be leaving in the morning at 9.00 AM and catch up with my mates inshallah at 12:00 Noon who are coming all the way from Peshawar, after that we will go ahead. Although the road conditions still remain a question but i hope everything is well before we reach the desired place, and once there i hope we get the most of the enjoyment we can from this trip since it will be the first of its kind we ever had, and also away from the polluted cities in a peaceful environment with fresh air and the beauty of nature.

I hope everything goes well and we are expected to come back in 5-6 days, so i won’t be using internet.

Yesterday was full of pain!

Posted by Khushal Khan on June 15th, 2007

Yes it was, indeed in this hot weather when the temperatures in my city of Education is above 45 Degrees in Celsius, the worst pain is to live here but what happened yesterday was more than that.

It started all in the morning when our university management took selective students from various classes and took them to the NEW Under construction(since 10 years LOLZ) university campus, unfortunately i was among them and when we reached the place and the bus stopped, i decided to be a bit naughty as i am and opened the window and popped out of the window, never in the aim of jumping out of the window but as soon as i popped outta the window with my legs outside, i felt a sudden push from the back as there was a rush in the bus and i fell on the ground and damn! my hand was so badly hurt, it was not bleeding but i could see the vein pumping, and after that the whole day i had been holding my hand, and not letting anyone touch me.
It was all well until i came back to my hostel, with an injured hand but it was not too late when i slipped in the Bathroom and damn!, the whole arm of the injured hand with my leg and my round back;) got badly hurt.

I was never going to get my self injected with Tetanus but when the second blow had me, i really felt the need.My visit to Hospital and getting Injected (another pain) is a different story but when i came back to my room i was broken, the whole night i was awake still using internet and forumming and blogging and stuff and after falling asleep it was the worst i could bare. Though my arm is ok now but i get the feeling that i might catch fever soon because i have alot to do tomorrow, packing all my stuff and getting back home for Summer vacations. I hope i don’t get to miss the Camping and Hiking trip we have to Neelam Valley in the Northern Areas of Pakistan we have set from coming Monday to Saturday, hope all goes well.

Keeping your system free from Spyware

Posted by Khushal Khan on June 10th, 2007

While i see my computer system affected badly with the spywares and malawares these days because of the LAN viruses, and viruses that find my PC as there home when my friends come and plug there USB Flash Drives into my PC and transfer DATA along with these viruses,i have to find a way to root out these germs from my pc and a simple google search gives me the results that you can conclude to be saying that only “SPY SWEEPER IS THE MOST AWARD-WINNING ANTISPYWARE SOFTWARE”.

You might be thinking of it as a joke but believe me when i installed Spy Sweeper free trial version into my computer system it was so efficient and fast to track the spywares that i felt like my system got a new life, yet i still think i should upgrade to the premium version to avail all the features from this product since it is an award winning software.

Keeping your system free from spyware not only keeps the system healthy and safe, but your data is preserved, you can browse internet quickly and fastly since most of the internet bandwidth is gobbled up by the spywares that reside within the computer system and get a life mostly when you are using the internet, so to handle the cause Webroot Spyware sweeper is the ultimate solution, and economical as well.

Smart tool for designers!

Posted by Khushal Khan on June 1st, 2007

Although i am not a web designer my self but i often end up playing with Adobe Photoshop and HTML and have to play with colors one way or the other way. Although Photoshop turns out to be one of the best image editor but for people like me who are not in designing field and require only the basic tools embedded within Photoshop at times such as a Color Picker to fulfill there requirement this becomes really a bizarre thing to run the whole, heavy and slow to load Photoshop program just for the sake of matching the exact colors according to your requirement.

It was all hectic until i just found this revolutionary Color Picker from AdesBlog.com known as AdesClrPicker, AdesClrPicker is a smart tool for designers, a very small in size, easy to load and use and fully loaded with the most features you can ever demand from a color picker, one of the best thing i like about is that its really helpful to match the AdSense Color code so that the entire ads blend in the theme of your website or blog and doesn’t even give the visitors the look of an Ad.One of the best things i liked about this tool is the color library feature, it has the ability to store our colors, change them and convert from one form to another and its really helpful when working on a project which requires different colors to be used at different places at the same time frequently. So its a must try tool and am sure once you use it, you’ll use it too often and permanently;).
