Sanjay Dutt sentenced to 6 years Jail!

Posted by Khushal Khan on July 31st, 2007

Sanjay Dutt hugs his sister before cout hearing!Sanjay Dutt has just been sentenced to 6 years jail along with 25,000 Rs fine by the TADA Court India. I just heard the news on the GEO News, he was accused to of posessing illegal arms and he had already been sentenced to jail in the past years but got released soon.I am not sure if its a fact that he will have to spend the 6 years in the jail as many senior actors and high officials have applied for the release bail guaranteer of Sanjay but the court rejected all the applications as of now and he is sent to Jail. He has been send to Jail in such a time when his movies worth a 100 Crore are in the media and running.
I have nothing else to say but i liked him as an actor and he was a really worthy actor bollywood could have, all the movies he worked in were a pure source of entertainment and he after Amir Khan is my favorite actor. Lets see how the thing goes because no one should mess with the Law and that’s the mistake he did and is now facing the consequences.

General Hazar Banday Maar Kar Umray Ko Chala!

Posted by Khushal Khan on July 28th, 2007

Image credits: Pakpix.comI was just flipping through the channels a while ago when i heard the news of General Pervez’s “Personal Deal” visit to Abu Dhabi to meet Muhtarma (Future Prime Minister of Pakistan), this was all ok since its not the first ever time the Military ruined the ruling party’s a$$ and went on a deal with HOT people but just to continue the laugh at my government and its act i went on hearing the news but when i heard the news of Musharraf’s visit to Mecca for Umrah Shareef after the “Deal” meeting i couldn’t stop laughing! There were 3 people in the room while i was watching the news and all of them said “Billi So Choohay Maar Kar Hajj ko Chalee” (Cat went to Pilgrimage after slaying 100 mice to death).

I was like *sigh* and wished i had been as much as lucky as the General is who was well received by the Minister of Mecca and am sure that while he is on Umrah , the gates of Haram Shareef will be opened for him since we all know he is very “close to Saudi Arabian Government” (not sure about ALLAH though). Yes, he is a lucky man since not many people in this world get a chance to see the inside of Haram Shareef. He must have offered 2 Rakaats of Nawafil in Riaz-ul-Jannah to ensure his entry into the Jannah.

I am not sure what will be in the mind of General while he is doing all these, God Forbid no one knows who is more close to Allah SWT but apparently what he has done so far is enough to prove his real face, but there is one thing i am more than sure and that is that with such a CLEAN conscience , the faces of the poor people killed in Lal Masjid, many others that are missing due to his personal matters …. they, they will not let him sleep and no matter how many Umrahs and how many Hajjs he offers , he will not be able to pay back the price. This is just like in the Hindu culture if you commit sins you than go get a bath in Ganges River and you come out as a clean man as if you did nothing wrong!
I know its evil to review someone’s faith the way i did and as i mentioned earlier only Allah SWT knows who is right and who is wrong, but i have spoken from my heart and from what i see i’ve compiled this post. May ALLAH SWT showers his blessings upon us and teaches the right path to us and our rulers! AMEEN!

Digg, Crazy Diggers and the Digg Effect!

Posted by Khushal Khan on July 25th, 2007

Few minutes back i was logged in into my Digg account just to digg an article that i had one of the writers write for my other blogs, when i was done and landed on the main page a story caught my attention saying “Drunk guy kills Internet” at that time it was only dugged 69 times, so i went to the URL of the story and before i could even read it saw the digg button there showing 94 diggs, thinking it must be a Digg error i went again to the digg homepage and saw it was 102 diggs now, DAMN that was strange as i never saw so quick movement before so i started playing with the page, refreshed it and the digg count showing 124, again refreshed 141, again refreshed 156 and then 172 and 190 and 212 and so on! I stopped. When i saw the time it showed within 12 minutes that story was made popular and had 256 diggs by the time i decided to blog this live action in the digg arena that i experienced. I was wondering how crazy the diggers go when they start digging articles or maybe its just a passion for them.

Now lets come to the Digg effect, its probably said by Shawn Hogan of Digital Point forums that it cost him over $100K for 1 digg that got dugged by over 500 people and his famous Digital Point forums server crashed due to the digg users following the URL, he immediately had to arrange a server donation fund raiser and got the money within a quick span of time and replaced his servers with new blades of servers with RAMs in Gigabytes. That was probably one of the most expensive digg effect i heard of but now lets get back to this gentleman who posted this story on his blog saying a “Drunk guy kills the internet” as to where he will survive this digg effect or not since when i am about to push the Publish button for this post the digg count it shows is 755, best of luck and hope you survive it!

And the Justice “gets” Justice : Supreme Court reinstates Chief Justice of Pakistan after suspension by Musharraf

Posted by Khushal Khan on July 20th, 2007

Just a few moments back while i was watching TV and stumbled across AAJ TV, i found out that the long awaited decision of the Chief Justice reference has been announced in favor of Chief Justice of Pakistan Mr.Chaudhry Iftikhar Ahmed and hence all the charges against him are dropped and he is reinstated as the Chief Justice of Pakistan after being suspended and forced to resign from his post in April this year. This is not only a shocking NEWS for the entire Government but in fact a failure to the Government and a great win for not only the Chief Justice and his Lawyers community but a win to the People of Pakistan for whom it is obvious now that no matter how strong the Government and the Army is, if fought with passion and devotion there for sure exists Justice in the Country( so far i can only guarantee Supreme Court of Pakistan ).

Chaudhry Muhammad Iftikhar was suspended on nothing else but personal reasons because he was becoming a threat to Musharraf’s regime by not favoring the amendments made in the constitution by the General, the 13 Judges Panel consisted of the top class judges out of which 10 voted in favor of the Chief Justice and the remaining 3 against.

The people and specially Lawyers are really excited about this and celebrating all over the country as well as outside the Supreme Court of Pakistan where the decision took place few moments back, the lawyer of Chief Justice’s case Ch.Aitizaz Ahsan said ,”He has been restored and it is a victory for the entire nation” which means that Chaudhry Iftikhar Ahmed will be joining the Supreme Court of Pakistan again as the Chief Justice of Pakistan sooner. Best of luck!

The Best and Worst of American Idol!

Posted by Khushal Khan on July 12th, 2007

The American Idol was a popular show that gained so much fame in the past that it went far by continents to Australian Idol,Swedish Idol and so much so much that it finally arrived Asia in the form of Indian Idol. The reason behind American Idol’s so much fame is that not many of us (in Pakistan mostly) are able to get subscription’s of channel’s that bring other interactive and exclusive shows. For instance my satellite subscription allows me to watch only American Idol among the Reality TV Fantasy League and not other shows like America’s got talent (the show that gave a Pakistani individual based in USA,Kashif Memon great fame after he made it to the top 20 with his extraordinary performance).

Ok since i was here talking about the best and worst of American Idol, i just get it to watch on AAG TV daily in the morning when its time for me to sleep and others to wake up but thats another story, the best are really worth appraisal but the worst are probably the worst you could ever get to see, for instance there was this one guy upon interviewing him it was found out that he has never seen a single show of American Idol and he just walked in for the fun of it when he came into the audition room, my goodness he sucked more than hell with his truly irritating voice but wait , he wasn’t just singing “he was causing pollution, yeah Noise pollution as i would call it”, many other stories of the worst in the auditions like a girl who would not walk out of the room unless she said she was given the “Ticket to Hollywood”, damn these American’s just can’t admit there voices suck!!!

On the other hand when it comes to the best, yes there were a few ones that were really awesome, for instance a young girl of 17 who when asked to sing could probably sing “mimic” every singer that she was asked to sing a song of, than there was a young Indian who truly impressed me with his mesmerizing voice! Yes this show rocks!

P.S: If you want to see The best and worst of American Idol if in Pakistan with a normal cable subscription, tune into AAG TV daily in the morning from 10-11 AM.

“Shakira-Kiyani” and “Zaki-Satriano” drowned in the ‘’pith” of nodes!

Posted by Khushal Khan on July 11th, 2007

Though the music rocks, Yes it rocks and why wouldn’t it when it comes from the best Guitarist in Pakistan Amir Zaki, and the Lyrics for the song are also great! but what exactly was Hadiqa trying to do in the latest English song “Too many Lies” featuring both her and Amir Zaki.

Ok the song starts with a kick ass guitaring from “Zaki-Satriano” as i’ll call him but when the vocalist pops in with her “Pakistani accent” English, dressed like Shakira, made over like Shakira, hair style and hair color like Shakira, sitting in a pool of black water like the background arrangment of a typical Shakira song, you saw wow!~ At first sight you’ll feel like its for sure her, but after a while you’ll realize that you are listening to a great english songs with an extraordinary music and lyrics in the best possible presentation of Video that is truly Inspired from the West.

On the other hand i really appreciate the style of Amir Zaki that is not unique yet the only style available for guitarists when it comes to be filmed in a Video. The music was great, balanced and sweet for the ears.

I am not against Hadiqa Kiyani or her songs but the way this video was made is not up to my mark, not that is poor quality or bad but just because its a totally western inspiration and not a unique production.

Hadiqa my personal suggestion for you “You’re a cute looking and charming lady from a culture that wants people like you to represent it all over the world, not that you copy others culture and present it in your own culture” and by the way your hairstyle rocks;) though its also inspired but suits you.Overall i rate 6/10 for this song!

Lal Masjid Issue: Shame at Media!

Posted by Khushal Khan on July 10th, 2007

“I might sound weird, and i might sound a foolish narrow minded and a cutter brain washed muslim on this post but this is what my thinking is and prove me wrong, change my mind”

We are all aware of the situation in the Lal Masjid and many bloggers i assume would have blogged about it, discussing there own opinions and giving there own views but i am not going any where into the details of its complexity because i personally feel both the Government and the Lal Masjid management can be held responsible for whatever the situation is right now at the moment but since i mentioned that i cant blame a certain party and Allah (SWT) knows where the truth lies.

The main topic that i want to highlight in this post is the Shameful act of Interviewing the captured Maulana Abdul Aziz in a Veil (Burqa) and showing that on the Television screens.I agree that he might be wrong but as i mentioned previously that who is wrong and who is right is not the topic of my discussion but its about the respect that a teacher deserves, no doubt Maulana Abdul Aziz was a great teacher,Scholar and his services for the Jamia or whatever he was the leader of are not to be denied. I know that the students there are not that innocent (most of them are) while they carry illegal arms to take the Law in there own hands BUT a teacher is a teacher and our religion teaches and sayings from respectable sources are that you give your teacher (even if he/she taught you a single word) respect more than your parents, and damn this is the respect a Maulana got when interviewed in a Burqa, Maulana which is a highly respected post in Islamic culture as he is the one who conveys us the message of Allah (SWT) is to be respected for his post and no one on this earth knows who is most close to Allah(SWT) and no one has the right to decide the good and bads of a person. The other thing that Maulana Abdul Aziz family highlighted was that the media and all the personnel are calling him with the name only Abdul Aziz and not Maulana Abdul Aziz which to me is wrong, he is what he is and after the situation his designation as Maulana did not change!

Bottom line: Shame to PTV for doing all this (when needed, its no where to be found but when it comes to Media “bitch fits” it leads all the way!)

Federer’s 5th consecutive win but someone else impressed me too!

Posted by Khushal Khan on July 9th, 2007

Roger Federer @ Funbie: Khushal's thoughts! Images by Eurosport Yahoo! As usual since the past 5 consecutive years and its been no more a thrilling topic to blog about when Roger Federer wins the the most prestigious Tennis title that is Wimbledon. Jokes apart, as in the news i saw Federer played really well against his usual rival Rafael Nadal winning the final match 7-6 (9-7),4-6,7-6 (7-3),2-6,6-2 to grab the Wimbledon Tennis 2007 Trophy consecutively for the fifth time (i am sure the trophy is enjoying his company a lot). Federer played well and so did Nadal but end of the story Federer played much better than Nadal and won the title, finish!.

Richard Gasquet @ Funbie: Khushal's thoughts!

But this Wimbledon showed me at least a new revolutionary tennis star who emphasized the most on his back hand and damn you missed the real tennis play if you din watch the semi finals between Richard Gasquet ( a french emerging as they say but he is emerged tennis star) and Andy Roddick (an american tennis super star). That was one hell of a match to watch and i could not believe my eyes everytime a back hand stroke was played by Gasquet and Roddick would just look at the ball with *i wish i could reach you* eyes.Though Gasquet couldn’t manage to reach over to the finals as he was defeated in the semi finals but i see a real talent in the fellow and am sure he is going to work wonders in the future of Tennis. Gasquet you had me as your fan;).

The new Apple iPhone’s and its endless marketing

Posted by Khushal Khan on July 4th, 2007

Ever since the new Apple iPhone is released the endless marketing campaign has started all over the Television Media now and every Channel from BBC,CNN,Business Plus,CNBC and all the channels my cable network could grab are showing free reviews, reports and comments and sales for the new Apple iPhone. Means how good it is to be a Technology giant once you are up and running and there you go, you get free reviews and marketing from the Channels that are shown in nearly 90% of the Countries worldwide. The new Apple iPhone on the other hand is really a gem to watch,an extraordinary phone, with a built in iPod or mp3 players , an extraordinary camera with great video capturing features and internet through high speed EDGE technology, etcetera so much and lot more all into this one peace of production from Apple.

Coming back to the marketing of the phone, it all started last year when it was in the news that Apple is going to launch a revolutionary phone with extraordinary features, just than people and Apple brand loyal customers badly started waiting for the release, blogs blogging madly about the new phone and how is it going to be,new websites being created, and nearly all over the blogosphere and webosphere was nothing else but the Apple iPhone, and now the TV channels are doing the rest.

I am not sure of the number but it was around 5 million units have been sold just with the release, the price set for the 4 Gb unit is $499 and that of 8 Gb is $599. Thats probably low as compared to Nokia’s N95 phones but its still comparatively high though Apple brand loyal customers are ready to pay even double the price of this cos Apple inc is what they trust in. I am not sure when is it going to be available in Pakistan but i am really looking forward for its arrival in Pakistan and see if my budget lets me have this one since i really need to have a new and more than just a Phone now;).
